2012 started off as a pretty mixed bag for me as far as movies are concerned. For every good one I watched, I managed to pick a mediocre or bad one to pair it with. Warrior was on the good side of average, while Blow Out ends so goofily that I couldn’t take it seriously at all. If…. was wonderful if amateurish, and The Wave was good although it stretched plausibility at points. Black Mirror was fairly well done, and scores points with me for being a sci-fi show that doesn’t pander to nerds and fanboys, instead presenting a cutting satire of our culture. The second episode in particular made me want to disconnect entirely from the internet for a while and spend all my time with actual flesh and blood people.
